Former Jamaica and West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Jeffrey Dujon shares the views of Windies fans around the world that the Windies lineup against Pakistan in the first Test match was weak.
The former ace wicket-keeper batsman frowned on the batting lineup which included two debutants Shimron Hetmyer and Vishaul Singh at the top of the order.
Dujon was speaking against the background of the first test defeat to Pakistan at Sabina Park on Tuesday.
“To bring two inexperienced players into the first test was a mistake I thought; so you have one at three; Shai Hope who has just now come into test cricket at four and then the other one (debutant) at five, so your top order is vastly inexperienced,” said Dujon.
He also posited the view that changes should be made to the current squad for the second Test at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Sunday.
“I have mentioned that Jason Mohammed has merited being included in this squad. We definitely need to look at a few changes in the squad for the next test match,” argued Dujon.
